Milk Can Tags such as these were attached to milk cans (as opposed to milk bottles) that were sold to customers purchasing larger quantities of milk.
Sam Youmans recalls that there was a fraternity house in Albany that purchased milk in 10-quart cans. Since the cans did not have the Youmans Farms logo on them, the tags were used to identify the source dairy to return the can to.
