Sam Youmans has written articles about life on Youmans Farms in 'The Sentinel' published by the New Scotland Historical Association. His "Life on the Farm, A Youmans Farm History" (March 1990 and Later) appears in a condensed format as "Reflections of a New Scotland Milkman" in the February 1993 issue of The Sentinel and was reproduced in the Fall 2022 issue of The Sentinel in memory of his passing in May of 2022.

The New Scotland Historical Association operates a museum where Sam Youmans volunteered quite often.
The Town of New Scotland, NY maintains a website which includes an online parcel search feature.
The Altamont Enterprise is a weekly newspaper that covers events in New Scotland. The Archive link at the bottom of the home page of that website allows users to access issues back to 2005. The Guilderland Public Library has an archives to digitized editions of the Altamont Enterprise as far back as July 1884.

Family Tree DNA maintains a website that allows individuals to trace their genetic genealogy. The Youmans-Yeomen-Yeamans-Yoemans Clan has a webpage that includes a detailed listing of early American descendants of Christopher Youmans (Yeamans) which includes descendant #121 (Levi Youmans) who was the grandfather of Rev. A.C. Youmans.

Many of the milk bottles bearing the Youmans Farms label were manufactured by the Owens-Illinois Glass Company. The company had plants in at least 15 US states.
